Zach Johnson

I’m Zach Johnson. I was born and raised in southwest Minneapolis. I actively served from 2007-2011 as a combat engineer in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii in the Marine Corps.  I was deployed twice with the 1st Battalion 3rd Marines, once to Iraq in the Karma/Garma area and once to the southern part of the Helmand Province just south of Marsha. I am a combat wounded veteran receiving the Purple Heart. When not working as an Assistant County Veterans Service Officer, I enjoy time with my family and my friends. I’m an outdoorsman and enjoy fishing and hunting. In the summer I spend a lot of time at my cabin in Deerwood, MN. And in my spare time, I work with Project Delta which helps provide service animals to Veterans and with other nonprofits that take Veterans hunting and fishing.
